They are not officially “Nickelodeon” promos. The website is using promo videos provided to them by Rainbow SpA. Listen to it again, notice the European-English Rai voice actors. The Season 4 video in particular was shown last year at the Licensing Show 2010 in Las Vegas at Rainbow’s booth. Yes they are official Rainbow Winx Club videos, but they were NOT produced by Nickelodeon. Just because they are on the MTV Networks International’s website, which is part of VIACOM, doesn’t automatically mean they were made by Nickelodeon. Ever since these videos were posted, everyone claims they are officially from Nickelodeon when they are not.
Nickelodeon can’t produce Winx Club trailers yet w/o enough voice cast selected yet and contracts in place for them. The promos currently being displayed on the MTV Networks International’s website are not owned by Nickelodeon or Viacom, they are using them (borrowing them) from Rainbow because it was something to post for the mean time, verses not having anything at all.

I knew it to me they seemed like regular Rai English trailers for seasons 1,2,3, and 4.
ReplyDeleteI knew the voice in that season 3 commercial was definitely Helena Evangelou, the season 1-3 bloom voice of rai english. I had hypothesised that especialy the season 1/2 and season 3 promos were prepared for international distribution. I wonder if they were ever shown on any of the networks internationally that aired rai english instead of 4kids. The only previously released promo that claimed to be from nickelodeon with in the promo itself was the promo involving scenes from the first movie.

I think it's funny cuz from the beginning I thought they weren't official, and had suspected that they were old RAI trailers, and everybody else is just now figuring that out. :D
